Welcome to Veteran Transport Service
The purpose of this program is to provide safe and timely transportation to and from the Veterans medical appointments. A driver will pick up the veteran from their home address and transport them to the nearest V.A. Clinic for their medical appointments. Once completed, the veteran will be transported back to their home address.
Members
- Cost of $10 for miles 1-20 from the veterans home to the V.A. clinic.
- Cost of $20 for miles 21-40 from the veterans home to the V.A. clinic.
- Cost of $50 for miles 41-60 from the veterans home to the V.A. clinic.
Non-Members
- Cost of $25 for miles 1-20 from the veterans home to the V.A. clinic.
- Cost of $50 for miles 21-40 from the veterans home to the V.A. clinic.
- Cost of $75 for miles 41-60 from the veterans home to the V.A. clinic.
What cities are within the service area?
TEXAS: North Austin, Cedar Park, Georgetown, Hutto, Pflugerville and Round Rock.
How do I schedule a ride?
Veterans can schedule transportation by calling the call center at 512-298-2532. Please request services at least 48 hours and as far out as 30 days of your medical appointment. Have your VA card or proof of Veteran status available at pickup.
Hours of Operation?
Monday-Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
Who’s eligible?
All Veterans are eligible to receive transportation from their home address, to the VA clinic and back to their home address.
Are there any restrictions?
– Only one appointment can be scheduled at a time. Based off availability.
– A maximum of 2 trips per veteran per calendar month so we can serve more veterans.
– Veteran must be able to enter and exit vehicle under their own power.
– Wheelchairs and walkers are good as long as they can collapse and fit in the trunk or back seat.
– Pickup and drop offs are at residences only. No corners, stores or any other locations.
– Do not bring groceries or other items not related to the medical appointment. Small bags are ok.
– No drugs or alcohol are permitted within the vehicle.
– Driver has the final right to refuse service to anyone.
VEHICLES ARE PRIVATELY OWNED (POV’S) SO PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL.
